Assistant Project Manager
R-2 Contractors is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to work with our team members to actively estimate, bid, negotiate projects, and participate with contract administration. This position requires hands on experience with subcontracts, submittals, and document tracking. Proficiency in the use of common office equipment (e.g. calculators, computers, copiers, etc.) and common software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc..) as well as an ability to learn and use different proprietary software and internet-based programs for our federal and other agency clients is required.
The list of primary responsibilities includes, but is not limited to the following:
• Project setup including job files, Contract Administration and Accounting department
• Knowledge and understanding of Excavation and underground utility installation- Heavy Civil
• Subcontractor and supplier solicitations
• Help ensure project compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications and government regulations
• Assist Project team members with other necessary project related duties that may come up
• Compile data required for the preparation of plans or work order drawings
• Provide technical support to project managers and other team members
• Experience with HCSS or other bidding software preferable but not required
